CONSCIOUSNESS
There are fabrics and then there are fabrics, especially when it comes to the environment. Unfortunately, the production and colouring of poor quality fabrics is still, in some areas of the world, one of the most significant factors contributing to environmental pollution.
Gamba, however, have chosen to offer sustainable textile products, created with natural fibers collected from organic farms, and processed with full respect for the environment. These are the proofs of the seriousness of Gamba’s environmental commitment.
GOTS
(Global Organic Textile Standard)
The most important certificate for the sustainable manufacture of textile products made from natural organic fibres. In addition to the raw material, every step of the manufacturing process, from the preparation of the yarns for weaving, to dyeing, to the finishing of the fabrics and sewing, is carried out in compliance with strict environmental and social criteria applied at all levels of production.
ISO 9001
ISO 9001 Quality Certification is an international standard that demonstrates a company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, ensuring that the products and services offered by the company effectively take into account
customer needs and mandatory and regulatory requirements.
ISO 9001 makes it possible to measure a company’s progress toward continuous improvement of its market performance by using a benchmark standard with which to compare itself and helps improve the company’s organizational performance.
OEKO-TEX
OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is an independent textile sector and standard international control and certification system for raw materials, semifinished and finished products at every level of processing, as well as for the accessory materials used.
Thanks to its decades of experience, the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® contributes to guaranteeing high and effective product safety from the consumer’s point of view. Test criteria and limit values are far more demanding than nationally and internationally valid parameters. The in-depth product checks and periodic company audits also raise the industry’s awareness of the responsible use of chemicals, in the long term and on a global scale. The OEKO-TEX® toxic substance controls are planned considering the mode of use of the fabrics and materials. The more intense the contact of a product with the skin and the more sensitive the skin, the stricter the human-ecological requirements.
