MANUFACTURES OF MARCHE

The Gamba company has its roots in a collective history of intertwining between manufacturing and culture. Since the Renaissance, the Marche region has been famous for its unique artistic and architectural glory throughout Europe, but it has also represented the geographical center of Italian craftsmanship, and it still does today.

For centuries the “wisdom of the hands” of the Marche region, combined with its creative genius, has fostered the birth of a wide variety of textile products, such as the sartorial tradition of hand looms, of tailor-made clothing (active until the early decades of the 1900s), and of fine art decorations from Offida lace to the medieval Macerata’s “liccetto”.
